Australia’s Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme

Recently, Australian Government prepares to introduce a scheme about carbon pollution reduction. This scheme is concerned with how to reduce carbon pollution which is produced by industries. Australia, as a country which has high pollution per capita, will introduce a scheme of carbon emission trading in 2010. This plan is still being debated because there are many impacts which relate to new economic problems in Australia in the short term. However, The Australian Government must be concerning on long term effects related to climate change that are caused by carbon pollution. Furthermore, Australia must lead to introduce this scheme because it has many advantages to Australia and the world’s environment in the future. Although this plan will create economic problems, such as; inflation and unemployment, this plan will avoid long term economic problems, declines in agriculture production and environmental disaster. Moreover, this plan also offers a chance for Australia to lead in research and develop environmentally friendly technology.
